January 2009 oil usage: 261 Gallons.
January 2010 oil usage: 94.5 Gallons.
I've been keeping detailed records of our power usage since we moved into the house. No other usage factors have changed - our thermostat is still set the same. Thus, these figures can only be related to your energy updates. Since you guys insulated the basement and attic, we've saved $703.04 in fuel oil, $60.19 in propane use, and $76.84 in electricity. That's $840.07 in six months.
Many thanks.

We use the TREAT (Targeted Residential Energy Auditing Tool) energy modeling software to help you compare different building envelope and heating system options for your new home. A complete report is provided that will detail how different insulation and building envelope configurations will perform, how many BTU’s it will take to heat your new home, and what ventilation options make sense. A number of “what if” scenarios can be modeled to determine the best balance of energy features for your new home.
We will also look over your building plans in detail and make recommendations on how you can make the right choices that will give you a house that will be comfortable, energy efficient, safe, and have healthy indoor air quality.
We can field test your home several times during the construction process using the blower door and an infrared camera to assess the tightness of your new home and to make recommendations as to the best ways to insulate and air seal the building envelope.
Ventilation strategies can be determined based on the latest ASHRAE 62.2 regulations. There are many options and we can guide you to make the best choices possible to ensure the safety, performance, and health of your new home.
Building an energy efficient home requires attention to detail and we can provide complete air sealing and insulation services for new construction projects, additions, and remodels. We use only the highest quality insulation and air sealing products and techniques to help you achieve the tightest, well insulated, energy efficient house possible.
A complete “test-out” procedure for new houses after construction is completed conforming to the nationally recognized standards of The Building Performance Institute. This extensive testing is done to determine the final tightness level of your home in order to ensure ventilation is adjusted to maximize the efficiency of your home and ensure the air quality is as healthy as possible. Several other safety tests are also done depending on the type of heating appliance you choose.
